THE CONCEPT & LAYOUT

The building has been conceived as one large communicating space that connects the director’s office to the main staff area which includes a mezzanine for relaxation and reading above the administrative office. We have worked with the space and its openings in a way that from every corner of the rooms it is possible to see the greenery outside without compromising good lighting for work and space for storage.

MATERIALS

The materials used are concrete and pebble wash for the floors, rattan for the ceiling and bangkirai wooden pillars along the pathway. We opted for a natural color palette where all the walls have been painted white except for the back wall in the main space which was painted black to give more contrast to the greenery behind.
